Kindle 2 reading to you
I remember the first time I heard a computer talk. It was a Radio Shack Tandy, the 800 I think. You typed in text and you could hear it read the text back to you. At the time, it was incredibly exciting. The voice wasn’t too bad, actually, or was it that my expectations were simply very low. Many years later, you could even listen to the first iMac speak to you. Here we are in 2009 and it’s time for the latest and greatest to speak to us. And let me just tell you, it speaks really well. The Amazon Kindle 2, our latest and greatest reading machine has been born. I was sitting and reading a book on my Kindle 2 the other day, and I realized that I had to run out to pick up my son from a play date. I didn’t want to stop reading, I had to go, so what to do! How about bring the Kindle along and have it keep reading to me. You bet. I plugged in a cable to hook my Kindle up to my car’s audio system and I was ready to be read to. I was captivated. I really worked. You even have the option to have it read slowly, medium or fast.
